Our client, the Brussels office of a highly regarded international law firm, has instructed us to recruit a European Patent Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will have a degree in biology, chemistry, bioengineering or similar life sciences field (advanced degree is appreciated). An exposure to a wide array of technologies is strongly preferred. 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience in patent prosecution is required. Experience in appeal and invalidation proceedings is a big advantage. The candidate must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities include working with the Firm’s clients and counsel on all aspects of the European patent practice, including preparing and prosecuting applications and working on proceedings before the European Patent Office.
